1. Classic Cocktail Sauce
2 tablespoons prepapred horseradish
1 cup high quality ketchup
1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
Combine ingredients in a small bowl, mix well. Chill and serve along side shrimp. Perfect with an off-dry Riesling wine.
2. Shallot-Lemon Oil
1/4 cup olive oil
1 large shallot, minced
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
1 teaspoon lemon zest
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
salt and pepper to taste
In small sauce pan, heat oil. Add shallots, cook over low heat for 5 minutes. Add lemon juice, zest, parsley, remove from heat. Let cool to room temperature. Drizzle over shrimp, serve with a white Burgundy.
