I just watched your video and I like what your’re saying...you are speaking the truth. I especially like the phrase “high calorie low nutrition foods”. I heard that phrase about a year ago on NPR.
I was working for a company in Biloxi, MS and I noticed the aforementioned dietary trend among many African Americans. I tried dating a young lady there and she couldn’t “get with my eating style.” She couldn’t believe that I refused to have any processed foods/drinks in my home. I invited her over for dinner a few times and she complained that my food made her go to the bathroom too much (she had a bowel movement every day). I told her that’s what’s supposed to happen when you eat fruits, vegetables, and whole wheat pasta. I tried to turn her on to drinking water during the day instead of pop/soda.
It was a learning experience. I thought everyone’s mom taught them how to prepare a balanced meal.
